Jobs at Alpinium.

We build AI systems that carry production work for clients with real volume, out of Belgrade. This page covers what that work looks like, the roles we accept applications for, and how to apply.

Work on AI systems01 / 04

The system you write goes to production — and you keep it there.

There is no stage here where a solution is handed over and forgotten. The engineer who designs a system watches how it behaves after delivery: latency, cost per call, errors, and the points where a user gives up.

Work happens directly with the client. The technical conversation is led by the person building the system, not an intermediary — the requirement is heard first-hand and the decision is made without translation through three layers.

The field moves faster than procedures get written. We expect you to test something new before you propose it, and to say plainly when a model is not the right instrument for a problem.

Projects are short and measurable. Straightforward systems reach production in about a week, larger ones get their own timeline — in both cases there is a date after which the result is read in numbers.

Measurement

A system is judged by how it runs on a bad day.

The same measure applies to the work on it.

Open positions02 / 04

Positions we accept applications for.

Applications stay open even when no position is advertised. If the profile fits, we come back when a project that suits it begins.

The technical authority in the client conversation and the person who designs the solution. You judge what AI can do in a given process and where its limits are, then build and maintain the system that follows — agents, the voice layer and integrations.

  • Feasibility assessment and solution architecture before any build starts
  • Agents over client data: tools, context, knowledge base and the limits of responsibility
  • The voice layer and integration with existing systems — CRM, calendar, telephony
  • Evaluations before every change, and measuring latency, cost and errors in production
We expect
  • Python and hands-on work with the leading model APIs
  • Experience with a system that ran in production, not only a demo
  • The ability to explain a solution's limits to a client without jargon
  • The judgement to say when a model is the wrong instrument

The first person a client speaks to, and the one who turns a process into a scope. You map how the work actually runs today and write the proposal with architecture, timeline, price and the limits of the solution.

  • Mapping the existing process and what it costs in hours
  • The proposal: scope, architecture, timeline, price, and what the system will not do
  • Coordinating delivery and measuring the effect after go-live
  • The client relationship after handover, while the system runs
We expect
  • Technical understanding enough to judge feasibility
  • Writing that holds up for an engineer and a lawyer alike
  • Serbian and English at business level

Job applications03 / 04

Applying is one email.

No portal and no three-step form. Send a CV and one link to something you built — the rest is settled in conversation.

01

You send

A CV and one link: a repository, a system in production, or something you wrote. A cover letter is not required.

02

Conversation

Thirty to forty minutes on what you have built and where it broke. The conversation is led by an engineer who works on the systems.

03

Exercise

A small task from a real domain, with a deadline we keep as well. You get an answer either way.

Common questions04 / 04

Common questions about hiring.

If the answer is not here, ask it in the application itself — we answer all of them.

Yes. Applications stay open and stay with us. When a project that matches the profile begins, we go back to that list first.

There is no fixed number of years. What counts is what you have built and whether it ran outside a demo — one system in production says more than five years on paper.

The role is based in Belgrade, with remote days by arrangement. Fully remote is not on offer, because much of the work happens alongside the client.

Three steps: an email with a CV and one link, a thirty to forty minute conversation with an engineer, then a small exercise from a real domain. You get an answer either way.

Yes, by arrangement and depending on the projects running at the time. State in the application how many hours a week you can realistically give.

Serbian or English, either is fine. Both are used in client work.

Send your application.

Applications go to career@alpinium.ai. If there is no project for your profile right now, it stays with us and we come back when one opens.
